FUNDING

The Apprenticeship Levy

Accessible funding for Training and Development

Access a world of training opportunities

The Apprenticeship Levy has changed the landscape of learning and development for larger employers.

Via the Apprenticeship Levy employers are able to control the quality of adult training provision in their organisation. Handled correctly, the Levy presents a fabulous opportunity to ensure the right people have the right skills within the organisation.

Apprenticeship Levy - Key Facts

The Apprenticeship Levy is a tax to fund all apprenticeships that your organisation will pay whether you use it or not.

Fortunately, the Apprenticeship Standards are designed for all ages and are very flexible.

Given the right assistance, your organisation can use its Levy pot to fund valuable programmes that benefit your workforce and your business.

Levy paying vs non-levy paying organisations

Employers who pay into the Levy are required to select their training provider from a list called the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) which is available through The Institute of Apprenticeships website, where every Apprenticeship Standard is also listed.

Organisations who do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy are able to use the surplus funds within the system, allowing all organisations an allocation of funding to support their apprenticeships. The system is accessed though the online Apprenticeship Service.

Thanks to our work designing and delivering thousands of apprenticeship programmes, our team has the skills and resources to offer a flexible package of assistance to Levy-paying organisations.
