Free Level 2 Machinist Course for Unemployed Candidates
The Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 NVQ is a free Machinist Course that will provide you with the skills required start your career in Manufacturing and Engineering. The Qualification is designed for candidates with little to no Engineering experience, equipping you with the right skills to progress into the workplace.
This qualification is fully funded for unemployed candidates that are over 19 years of age. The training is delivered at Barrow Hill Roundhouse, Staveley, Derbyshire, with any travel fare incurred covered by the Job Centre.
This PEO course at Barrow Hill teaches the fundamental skills of Engineering and provides experience of what it’s like to work in a Manufacturing environment.
Learners work to create their own product from start to finish whilst using a range of Machines and Hand Fitting tools and techniques. Learners are trained by Industry leading tutors.
This short course is ideal for candidates with little to no engineering experience, to ensure they have the skills and experience the organisation requires before they begin their employment.
*For funding purposes, learners must be 19 years old as of August 2021*
